We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join a specialist SEMH and ASC school based in Dover. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who require consistency, understanding, and positive role models to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role
- 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils engage with learning and regulate emotions
- Assist with implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience working with SEMH, ASC, or additional needs (school, care, youth work or similar settings)
- Are calm, resilient, and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Can demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are adaptable, proactive, and confident in managing behaviour positively
Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students. 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only. You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship. On site parking included.
