Academics are seeking a confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to work within an Alternative Provision in Dover, supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensure continuity of learning, and help students engage positively with their academic work in a nurturing, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to small groups or whole classes
- Maintain a calm, safe and supportive learning environment
- Support students in accessing academic work across a range of subjects
- Manage behaviour positively in line with school policies
- Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and pastoral teams
- Record and report on student engagement and progress where required
