SEN Teaching Assistant – Tilehurst – ASAP Start
SEN in the Mainstream Primary (Graduates and Experience in SEN ideal). Supporting ASD or SEMH 1-2-1. This is a full-time position with a daily rate of £89 – £100 depending on experience.
This role is in a mainstream primary school in Tilehurst, supporting a pupil or pupils with Autism or Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH) on a 1-2-1 basis. Start ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1-2-1 support for pupils with Autism or SEMH in Year 1 or Year 4 classes.
- Support Maths and English, and assist with classroom activities and learning resources.
- Assist with behaviour management and implement strategies to support pupils with SEN and EHCP targets.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to deliver on-target learning experiences and needs.
Qualifications
- Ideally educated to degree level; Level 3 and above accepted.
- Experience working with SEN in primary, secondary, or other settings, or relevant child-focused experience.
- Ability to work with challenging behaviour and adapt to a classroom environment.
- Prescribed safeguarding and eligibility to work in the UK; references available.
Working Hours & Remuneration
Hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. The daily pay rate varies between £89-£100 per day depending on experience.
