A large mainstream primary school located in Havering, London is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from January or February 2026 on a full time & permanent contract to work alongside children with special educational needs.

- £26,000-£32,000 per annum (pro rata)

You will be supporting your dedicated child in the classroom, helping the class teacher within the class. Your main role will be to build rapport with your allocated child and help them feel confident in and out of the classroom and help them receive the best possible education.
QualificationsFor these SEN Teaching Assistant positions, the school is seeking 2 SEN Teaching Assistants who either have experience working with children with SEN as well as recent graduates in Education or Psychology/Criminology or an SEN related degree who want to work with special educational needs. The students in this mainstream primary school have a variety of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties, so if you have experience of working 1-2-1 with SEN or have a passion and desire to support children with additional needs then these could be the roles for you. These 2 Teaching Assistant positions are within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 so depending on your experience and preference then please do get in touch to discuss the roles available at this school.
