Academics are working on behalf of a SEN Specialist school who are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ware, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs including ADHD, Autism, SLD and PMLD

Role and Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and specialist staff to support pupils across the education and training sector. Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs
  • Assisting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Supporting personal care where required (training provided)
  • Helping pupils engage with sensory-based and therapeutic activities
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Creating a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
