Academics Rochester are recruiting for a SEN Teacher for a mainstream Primary school in Rochester. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. The role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to small groups of students with special educational needs.

- Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching skills and SEN knowledge.
Key Requirements:
- SEN Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong understanding of SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges.
- Ability to differentiate lessons and provide tailored support to meet individual student needs.
- Experience with specific teaching strategies, such as TEACCH, Makaton, or other communication systems.
- SENCO qualification or experience in a SEN leadership role.
