Secondary Teacher – Specialist SEN Alternative Provision

Location: Doncaster

Hours: Mon-Fri – Term time only, temp role

Start Date: Feb 2026, or sooner if available

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, primary-level lessons to small groups or on a 1:1 basis, focusing on core subjects and holistic development.
  • Build secure, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced significant trauma or adversity.
  • Champion each child’s progress, celebrating small steps as major victories.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff.

We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in primary education.
  • A genuine passion for, and understanding of, SEN/SEMH and trauma-informed practice.
  • Boundless patience, empathy, and emotional resilience.
  • A positive, steady presence and a firm belief in inclusion.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
