A specialist school in Cheltenham is seeking a Classroom Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will help motivate and engage students, support their learning and emotional development, and nurture their confidence and love of learning. Every day is different, making this an exciting and rewarding position.
About the Role
As a SEN Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with a small class of around 8 students. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing learning materials and supporting lesson planning
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Creating a positive, stimulating classroom environment
- Supporting students to achieve their individual goals
The school caters to both primary and secondary students with a range of complex needs, including learning difficulties, mental health challenges, attention deficit disorders, physical disabilities, and autism. The role may also involve personal care and behaviour support, and full training will be provided if needed.
