Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of students with a variety of additional needs (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, MLD/SLD/PMLD).
- Create and implement personalised learning programmes (EHCPs) that support both academic progress and emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, Senior Leadership Team, and families to maintain a consistent, supportive learning environment.
- Employ creative, multisensory teaching strategies to ensure learning is accessible, enjoyable, and effective for all students.
- Monitor student progress, evaluate learning outcomes, and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s SEN provision.
What we’re looking for
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience, or a strong commitment to teaching students with SEN.
- Enthusiastic about inclusive education and fostering a supportive classroom environment.
- Confident in adapting lessons and teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Familiar with EHCPs, differentiation methods, and strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
