We are currently recruiting for a lovely SEN Secondary school in the Hillingdon borough who are seeking supportive School Care Workers to join their amazing team for the start of the new academic year. In this role as a School Care Worker, you must be comfortable carrying out personal care and supporting children with PLMD given the nature of the school.

The Role:

  • You will be working 1:1 within an SEND role or with children in small groups
  • Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • Look after children's physical, social, and emotional welfare
  • Carry out personal care
  • Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding

Requirements:

  • You have experience with SEN in either a school setting or a care-based role
  • Be available to start immediately
  • Live in Hillingdon or within a commutable distance
  • You will be comfortable doing personal care given the severe needs of the children the school has
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
