Academics are working on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Hampshire to recruit an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated member of the pupil support staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and inclusive environment where professional development is encouraged and every day brings the chance to make a real difference to pupils' learning and wellbeing.
As part of the pupil support team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals and small groups with their learning alongside teaching staff
- Delivering targeted 1:1 or small-group interventions
- Supervising pupils during lunch or break times
- Providing general classroom and teacher support
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and empathy with young children
- Have an understanding of early child development
- Show initiative and flexibility, with a willingness to try new approaches
- Understand confidentiality, safety, and safeguarding procedures
- Be a reliable team player
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
- Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, or be committed to developing this knowledge
