Academics are working on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Hampshire to recruit an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated member of the pupil support staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and inclusive environment where professional development is encouraged and every day brings the chance to make a real difference to pupils' learning and wellbeing.

As part of the pupil support team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals and small groups with their learning alongside teaching staff
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 or small-group interventions
  • Supervising pupils during lunch or break times
  • Providing general classroom and teacher support

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and empathy with young children
  • Have an understanding of early child development
  • Show initiative and flexibility, with a willingness to try new approaches
  • Understand confidentiality, safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Be a reliable team player
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, or be committed to developing this knowledge
