A Special school (SEN) in Hackney, which caters for pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism (ASD), is looking for Teaching Assistants for long-term roles and daily supply to start in September 2026. Responsibilities:The role will involve working with students on a 1-1 or group basis and you will work alongside dedicated professionals, as well as have the opportunity to shadow Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language therapists.
Qualifications:Pupils are aged 11-14 years old and there is a high proportion of autistic children attending the school, so a good knowledge and understanding of autism is essential for the role. Also, being able to work with challenging behaviour would be beneficial.
