Are you an outgoing and passionate Teaching Assistant seeking a new opportunity to work with children and make a real impact on their learning journey? Are you able to start work ASAP or within the next few weeks? If yes, then Academics are working with a well-led and supportive primary school in the Borough of Havering who are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic primary school ASAP!
This is a full-time, long-term role that will involve working in the school for at least the full academic year. As a primary teaching assistant, you will be responsible for working alongside the class teacher to support students both in and outside of their lessons, enabling children to meet their academic targets. You will have the opportunity to work with children in KS1 and KS2 on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This role will also include working with students with ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
The Headteacher is therefore keen to trial/interview candidates with prior experience or a passionate graduate who is looking for a long-term career working with children.
TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE DETAILS:- Based in Havering, London
- Monday - Friday, Term-Time only
- Long-Term, Full-Time role - 8.30am - 3:30pm
- Mid January - February 2026 start
- £90 - £115 per day - Weekly pay
- A graduate with strong academics across the board or experienced teaching assistant
- A desire to work with children of all ages and abilities
- Previous experience working with children and SEND/SEMH needs would be ideal
- A confident and motivated individual looking to get stuck in from the start
