Academics are working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme who are seeking a caring and committed Primary Teacher to cover their Year 3/4 class on a maternity cover basis. This role will begin in February and is expected to continue for up to 12 months.
You will take responsibility for a large, mixed Year 3/4 class, working alongside a supportive staff team who are passionate about providing a nurturing, positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
About the Role- Teaching a mixed Year 3/4 class with full classroom responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons across Key Stage 2
- Establishing a calm, positive classroom with clear expectations and strong routines
- Supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their confidence and wellbeing
- Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leaders
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
- Demonstrates strong, consistent behaviour management
- Is kind, patient and enthusiastic about teaching and learning
- Builds positive relationships with children, staff and families
