Academics Ltd is seeking an experienced and committed Primary Teacher (SEN) to join a well-established SEMH school in Canterbury. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is dedicated to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This specialist SEMH school provides a therapeutic and supportive setting for primary-aged pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support. Staff work collaboratively using trauma-informed, child-centred approaches and a strong pastoral ethos. The school prides itself on helping pupils rebuild confidence, develop self-regulation, and enjoy learning again.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a small class of primary pupils with SEMH needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual abilities

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
