Teaching Assistant (SEN – Challenging Behaviour) – Immediate Start

Role: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (Term-Time, Temporary, at least 6 week assignment)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Rate: Β£95 – Β£120 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in South Yorkshire.

Your focus will be on de-escalation, building trust, and implementing structured strategies to support positive engagement and learning.

We\’re looking for someone who has:

A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly challenging behaviour, in a school or similar setting

Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and support for ASD/SEMH

A calm, consistent and resilient approach, with the ability to build trust and encourage positive behaviour

A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply quickly)
