An excellent opportunity has become available for a mental health support assistant, supporting SEN children in a school in Reading. They are currently looking for a mental health support assistant to join them ASAP.
As a mental health assistant you will directly be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health.
Responsibilities- Provide support to SEN children to help them settle into school routines and minimise triggering situations as much as possible.
- Facilitate a positive and safe environment for students to learn and grow.
- Contribute to supporting children as they manage challenges related to mental health, including anxiety, mood disorders, and related conditions.
- Shadow other professionals in the field to gain experience.
- Ideal candidate would have some experience working with vulnerable children or young people.
- Any education, psychology or therapy background is advantageous, but graduates will be considered.
- This role is suitable for aspiring psychologists, teachers or therapists.
