A specialist SEMH school in Reading is seeking a bright, enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support students' academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour. This is a full‑time role starting ASAP, working with children aged 8‑18 who require consistent, child‑centred support.

Responsibilities
  • Support students’ academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour in a therapeutic setting.
  • Work alongside on‑site therapists and psychologists; receive mentoring, shadow professional sessions and support children with special educational needs and mental health challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology or related subjects are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Occupational Psychologists, Therapeutic Support Workers or SEN Teachers.
