A specialist SEMH school in Reading is seeking a bright, enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support students' academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour. This is a full‑time role starting ASAP, working with children aged 8‑18 who require consistent, child‑centred support.
Responsibilities- Support students’ academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour in a therapeutic setting.
- Work alongside on‑site therapists and psychologists; receive mentoring, shadow professional sessions and support children with special educational needs and mental health challenges.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology or related subjects are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Occupational Psychologists, Therapeutic Support Workers or SEN Teachers.
- Location: Reading
- Salary: £85‑£100 per day
- Full‑time: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm
