We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a vibrant SEMH school in Margate, providing tailored, high-impact teaching to pupils aged 5-16.

Academics are proud to be working in partnership with a mixed-age specialist provision that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs alongside associated learning difficulties. The school delivers a broad, adaptable and personalised curriculum designed around each pupil's individual outcomes. Using evidence-based approaches such as nurture and restorative practices, the school focuses on building confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing. Pupils benefit from small class sizes and strong, supportive staff relationships that enable them to succeed both academically and personally.

The Role

  • Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH, ASD and related needs.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning journeys.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports pupils' emotional wellbeing and academic engagement.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with families and carers to support student progress and share achievements.
  • Contribute to school life beyond the classroom through enrichment, outings and community activities.

What we are looking for

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have experience or strong interest in working with pupils with SEMH or complex needs.
  • Available 5 days per week.

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - Essential

£170 - £260 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only.

You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship.
