Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' SEN School and Residential Provision in Lymington for students aged 11 - 19 years old. The school offers 52-week residential care for boys and girls with a diagnosis of Autism, severe learning difficulties and associated behaviours.

They are seeking a number of experienced Senior Support Workers to offer support and encouragement to young people in a variety of settings including classroom, education and off-site activities. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be required to enable their young people to develop by providing physical and emotional support.

The role of a Senior Support Worker is about working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of young people first. The successful Senior Support Worker must be a good role model and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times whilst on duty or representing the school at outside events.

The role is to start ASAP on an ongoing or possible temp to perm basis paying between £14.42 - £14.88 per hour. Shift pattern and days are as follows:

  • Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun - 8am - 8pm
  • Week 2 - Wed, Thurs - 8am - 8pm

Senior Support Workers will ideally possess a Level 3 QCF Certificate in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, or have recent relevant experience. On site training including face to face safeguarding training and prevent online training.
