Are you calm under pressure, resilient by nature, and genuinely motivated to support young people who need more than a standard classroom? We're working with a specialist SEMH provision supporting pupils who have experienced trauma, emotional dysregulation, and barriers to mainstream education. This is a hands-on, relationship-led role where no two days look the same — and where your impact is real.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Helping young people regulate emotions, manage behaviour, and re-engage with learning
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed approaches
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams
- Acting as a consistent, positive role model throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour or vulnerable young people
- A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
- Confidence with boundaries and consistency
- A genuine interest in mental health, behaviour and trauma-informed practice
Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students. £90 – £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only. You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply – no Visa sponsorship. On site parking included.
