A specialist school in Canterbury is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join their team, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils benefit from a structured, nurturing and traumaâinformed approach that helps them engage positively with learning and everyday school life.
Key Responsibilities:- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them regulate emotions and engage positively with learning.
- Implement behaviour support plans and promote positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to provide consistent support.
- Help pupils develop emotional resilience, selfâregulation and social skills.
- Create a calm, safe and structured environment for learning.
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, trauma or challenging behaviour.
- Backgrounds in Psychology, Criminology, Youth Work, Mental Health, Social Care or similar are highly desirable.
- Calm, resilient and confident in managing behaviour.
- Passionate about making a genuine difference in pupils' lives.
ÂŁ85 â ÂŁ95 per day, MonâFri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Termâtime only.
