Are you passionate about leading high-impact education that transforms lives? We are seeking a motivated and experienced Programme Manager to join a prison education setting in Rochester, with responsibility for managing education delivery as well as teaching up to 10 hours of Maths per week to learners of all levels.
The Role
- Lead, coordinate and quality-assure the prison education programme
- Line-manage and support tutors across subjects
- Teach up to 10 hours of Maths weekly, from Entry Level to GCSE (or equivalent)
- Support learners with a wide range of needs, abilities and prior educational experiences
- Ensure programme compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Monitor attendance, achievement, retention and learner progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development
- Work collaboratively with prison and education staff to promote a positive learning culture
About You
- Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Strong Maths subject knowledge across levels
- Experience within FE, adult education, or alternative provision (prison education desirable)
- Previous experience in programme coordination or educational leadership
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A calm, professional and resilient approach
- The ability to motivate disengaged or vulnerable learners
