A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for an Education Support Worker in a specialist school in Slough. The school is looking for someone to start in September!
The role as an Education Support Worker includes:
- Supporting students who struggle with their class work
- Facilitating a fun and friendly learning environment
- Providing support to the class teacher
- Helping the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
- Keeping the classroom a tidy and presentable environment
- Encouraging children to do their best
- Helping manage classroom behaviour
- Listening to the children read and practice their phonics
The successful Education Support Worker will need to be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything! You must be able to take initiative well and problem solve. Experience working with children is desirable but not essential. You must be patient, as some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day. Understanding the importance of safeguarding in schools is crucial.
Requirements:
