Academics are currently on the lookout for an experienced Chemistry teacher for one of our established secondary schools in Wakefield, this is a fantastic long term opportunity for a September 2026 start!
The role will involve teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, inspiring the next generation and helping them reach their full potential.
To be successful in your role as a Chemistry teacher you must be able to display a good understanding of the curriculum and create a positive learning environment.
You will be responsible for monitoring the progress and development of the students, as well as preparing them for any upcoming exams.
As a Chemistry teacher you will need to plan and prepare high quality lessons that will keep the students engaged, you will also have an opportunity to collaborate with other members of the department by sharing ideas on how to further develop the curriculum.
Requirements
- Must have valid right to work in the UK.
- Hold a degree related to design and technology, along with qualified teacher status (QTS)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Be able to adapt quickly to a new school environment
