Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in their education? Do you have experience working with pupils who need a little extra help to reach their full potential?

Academics are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for long-term placements in a range of primary and secondary schools across the Walsall area. These are full-time, ongoing roles starting from September, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement education and behaviour plans
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Support pupils with additional needs including SEND, SEMH, and those who require academic or emotional support

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working with children or young people (in education, care, or similar settings)
  • Are patient, reliable, and resilient
  • Have a genuine passion for education and supporting learning
  • Can commit to full-time, long-term placements
  • Hold or are willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
