A forward-thinking and welcoming primary school in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and skilled practitioner who wants to extend their impact beyond the classroom and take on a leadership-focused role within a supportive school community.
This KS2 Teacher role is ideal for an experienced teacher (not suitable for ECTs) who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum, supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing, and maths, and contributing to whole-school improvement and curriculum development. The school is committed to ensuring every child achieves their potential academically and personally, with a strong focus on engaging, ambitious teaching and learning across KS2.
Responsibilities- Deliver consistently high-quality teaching across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Lead or support initiatives in reading, writing, maths, and wider curriculum subjects
- Set high expectations to secure strong outcomes for all pupils
- Support pupils with SEND and diverse learning needs
- Work closely with SLT and KS2 colleagues to drive improvement
- Take on additional leadership or subject responsibilities aligned with your experience
- Demonstrate proven, outstanding KS2 teaching practice
- Have excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy
- Be confident leading or supporting curriculum development, mentoring, or subject initiatives
