Acadmics are working with a specialist SEN school in Canterbury who are seeking a passionate and committed KS1 & KS2 Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for a teacher who is driven by impact rather than data, and who is confident adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and SEN professionals
  • Use creative approaches to promote academic progress, emotional regulation and independence
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
  • Have experience teaching SEN and/or primary-aged pupils
  • Are calm, patient and resilient, with strong behaviour-management skills
  • Are adaptable and confident teaching across mixed abilities
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Are open to training and continuous professional development
