You will be joining an SEMH School in Cosham which caters for students mainly from the ages of 11 – 16 years with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other associated needs.
The Teaching Assistant position is a classroom based role, supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
The Key Worker position is an outreach role where you will be required to travel to students homes and to collect and bring them into school. Due to this, you must drive and be happy to use your own vehicle. Travel expenses will be paid. You will be supporting vulnerable children who attend their provision which caters for young people with mental health needs.
Due to the nature of the environment and needs of the pupils, both positions are suited to someone who has worked with pupils with challenging behaviour or special educational needs in the past, or someone who is looking to work in a unique setting.
