Academics are working closely with a specialist SEN school in Ramsgate who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD, providing a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Help pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, and build independence
- Implement behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs
- Foster a calm, positive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children or young people with ASC and/or ADHD (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)
- Is patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about SEN
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
