Are you an experienced Primary School Higher Level Teaching Assistant seeking a new role for February or March 2026? Would you like to work in a primary school in Redbridge, London that can assist you in developing in your career and offer excellent career progression opportunities? A super supportive, friendly and creative Primary School based in Redbridge, London are looking to recruit a confident and creative Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students across EYFS, KS1 & KS2. This is an ASAP start, long-term and full-time position.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role in Redbridge, London is the perfect role for someone who is considering becoming a teacher. This role will allow you to build experience teaching a class on a sporadic basis whilst also working as a respected Teaching Assistant. This role would also suit an experienced HLTA just wanting a new role!
What will this Higher Level Teaching Assistant position involve?
- Working with students across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 (EYFS - Year 6)
- Covering classes on a timetable across EYFS, KS1 & KS2
- May involve supporting students with mild SEN (ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, Speech & Language issues)
- 1:1 & Group Work
- Using creativity and imagination to engage students with the primary curriculum
- Working closely with class teachers to ensure lessons are fun, engaging and challenging
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Details:
- £110 - £150 per day (weekly pay)
- ASAP Start (February or March 2026)
- Full-time (term-time only) - long-term
- Based in Redbridge, London
- Permanent contract available from September 2026
- Teacher training available from September 2026
- Excellent education and training opportunities available
The Ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
- Experience within the classroom is essential - This could be as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor / HLTA
- Confident and enthusiastic personality
- Good behaviour management
- Creative and capable of coming up with innovative & fun ideas and activities!
- HLTA Qualification would be desirable (not essential)
