Academics is seeking a resilient, patient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support SEN and mainstream schools across Skipton. The Role - SEN Teacher (SEMH/ADHD Specialist)
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and ADHD on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with EHCPs and school policies
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation skills and positive coping strategies
- Provide classroom support to ensure pupils remain engaged and focused
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and resilience
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH and ADHD
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
