Are you passionate about nurturing the development of young children? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner for a long-term role, starting in January 2026, in one of our welcoming primary schools based in West Leeds. The position is for at least 2 terms with a possible opportunity of a direct contract for the right person.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated Early Years Practitioner to become part of a supportive school community that values creativity, inclusivity, and child-centred learning. You will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social and educational development of children in the early years setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Work as an Early Years Practitioner within the EYFS team to support children's learning and development
- Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Observe and assess individual progress, tailoring support to meet the needs of each child
- Build strong relationships with children, parents and staff
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Previous experience working as an Early Years Practitioner in a school or nursery setting
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A current DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
