Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis in a range of Specialist Schools across the Huddersfield area.
The Role:
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to help students access the curriculum
- Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and learning activities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
Requirements as a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
