Are you a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant ready to take your career to the next level? Are you ready to take on extra responsibilities? If so, this is the role for you! A fantastic Specialist School in Oxford is looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their friendly team as soon as next week. The school caters for students with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties and Down syndrome. They are therefore looking for a HLTA with a passion for SEN and a warm nature!

As a HLTA, your daily duties will be to guide the students and ensure they are all supported in the classroom. You will learn about their individual needs and adapt your approach in the classroom to suit them. You will also take on extra responsibilities, including covering lessons and collaborating with the SENCO to implement appropriate individual education plans (IEPs) for students. This Specialist School has excellent sensory provisions for the pupils and also focuses on building independent living skills.

Previous experience working as a TA is necessary. This can be in a Specialist, Primary or Secondary School. A relevant degree or qualification would be beneficial. However, passion and enthusiasm is the most important!

The school day is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you’re passionate about making a difference and feel that you could help to encourage, motivate, and support children with additional needs to reach their full potential then this HLTA role is for you!
