Job Description

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for your next rewarding role in a welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead?

We are working closely with a lovely 1-form entry primary school in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position, initially running until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

The Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role across the school, supporting both pupils and teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons to cover PPA time
  • Providing small group intervention support to help pupils make progress
  • Offering general classroom support across key stages
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Has previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Is confident delivering lessons and managing a classroom
  • Is proactive, flexible, and passionate about supporting children's learning
  • Able to commute to Hemel Hempstead
