Are you a qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher seeking a stable, long-term role in a supportive secondary school? Academics are recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted 'Good'-rated secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, who are looking to appoint a committed History Teacher from Easter. This is a full-time position, initially running until the end of the summer term, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

About the Role

  • Teaching History across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History or a related subject (essential)
  • Have recent experience teaching History up to KS4 (ECTs welcome)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisation
  • Show genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students' interest in History
  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS
