Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? Academics are working with a well-respected secondary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area to appoint a committed teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5. This is a full-time, fixed-term role starting as soon as possible and running until Christmas 2025, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS4 and KS5.
- Support students in developing both academic understanding and practical insight into the health and social care sectors.
- Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that encourages progress and independence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to department success.
What you’ll need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care or Child Development up to KS5.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one (can be processed through Academics).

- Competitive daily rate of £150-£230, paid to you weekly (dependent on experience).
