Job Description Head of Early Years – Chelmsford, Essex Education and Training Are you a qualified Early Years Practitioner with at least 2 years’ experience in leading a team? Can you build meaningful relationships with children, parents, team, and colleagues? Do you have a real ‘can do’ attitude and self-motivation? If this sounds like you, then please apply TODAY! Position Details: ** Permanent contract ** ASAP start ** 40 hours per week ** £34-£40K per annum ** Level 6 or 7, or above ** Nursery discount for employee’s children ** 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays ** Health and wellbeing resources and support ** Friendly, flexible team with social events throughout the year ** Discounted gym membership This is a diverse and exciting role, working in dual leadership with the nursery manager. The dual leadership structure provides the breadth of skills, knowledge, and expertise that when combined is more robust to successfully lead and manage the day-to-day running of an outstanding setting. The Head of Early Years specifically leads the care and education across the setting. Key responsibilities include: Having high regard for all matters relating to safeguarding children and child protection Ensuring the learning environment is effective to deliver the curriculum Ensuring that high-quality teaching and learning is taking place, with maximum impact on children’s outcomes Being the SENCO for the setting and leading on all aspects of the SENCO role Being open to and putting forward new ideas and ways of working to positively impact children, parents, and team Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies, and other agencies This is a fantastic opportunity to join a truly wonderful organisation, where you will make a real, positive impact while gaining incredible experience.
