Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a passionate and empathetic General Cover Teacher to join them ASAP on a full-time, permanent or temp to perm contract.
They are a secondary SEMH/ASC provision in Basingstoke which caters for pupils from 10-16 years with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other complex needs such as Autism. Due to the needs of the students, class sizes are small so you are able to meet their individual learning and emotional needs.
The newly improved school has very high expectations of students and they work exceptionally hard with a dedicated and inspiring staff team to provide a learning environment that enables students to thrive. The school has great facilities including a brand-new IT computer suite, a state-of-the-art fitness/gym facility, and a new school library.
The suitable General Cover Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic and highly motivated. You must have the ability to deliver exciting and engaging lessons across the curriculum that develops learners’ knowledge and skills, from KS2 - KS4. You will ideally have experience of teaching in an SEN/SEMH school although this role is open to all. You must have QTS.
