Role Overview
- Deliver & Engage: As a specialist Secondary Art Teacher, you will deliver creative Art and Design lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 while managing the physical art studio environment.
- Studio
Support: As a Art Technician, you will prepare materials, manage stock, maintain equipment (including kilns, printing presses, or digital tools), and display student work beautifully across the school.
- Adaptability: Seamlessly step into different creative arts departments across The Wirral to cover short-term absences or planned long-term leaves.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inspiring, and productive studio environment, ensuring strict health and safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
- Qualifications: A degree or qualification in Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline.
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT) is highly desirable, but experienced technicians or instructors with strong subject knowledge are welcome.
- Experience: Previous experience working as an Art Teacher / Technician or managing an educational art studio setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills for stock control, excellent classroom management, and a deep knowledge of various artistic mediums and health & safety procedures.
- Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Location: Based in or easily able to commute to schools throughout The Wirral.
