An outstanding SEN school in Warrington is seeking a caring and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with early years learners, supporting their development both academically and emotionally.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will work closely with the classroom teacher and wider SEN team to:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism and behavioural needs.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, tailored learning activities.
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement effective behaviour management and support strategies.
- Help pupils develop key life skills such as communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will have
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting children with autism and/or behavioural challenges.
- A sound understanding of autism spectrum conditions and positive behaviour approaches.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of individual learners.
