Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A thriving independent school in Yateley is seeking a skilled and empathetic Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join its dedicated team from September 2025.

This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the emotional and social needs of children with SEN, who is committed to helping them access learning and feel safe, understood, and valued.

Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted emotional literacy support to pupils with a range of SEN
*

Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to tailor interventions
*

Foster confidence, communication skills, and resilience in vulnerable learners
*

Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to EHCP reviews where relevant
*

Support transitions and reduce barriers to learning through structured emotional support

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified ELSA (or in training), ideally with SEN experience

A strong understanding of autism, ADHD, attachment, or SEMH needs

Patience, creativity, and a calm, consistent approach

Excellent collaboration skills with staff, families, and external agencies
* Ability to travel to Yateley
