Academics Agency is seeking a talented and practical Design & Technology Teacher for a rewarding temporary position within a dynamic secondary school.
Your Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging, project-based D&T lessons across relevant material areas (e.g., Resistant Materials, Product Design, Textiles, Engineering) to secondary school students of varying abilities.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are used responsibly.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Design & Technology or a relevant degree supported by a PGCE.
- Is a passionate and enthusiastic educator, able to make D&T concepts accessible and exciting for Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary school level in the UK.
- Strong practical workshop skills and a firm commitment to health and safety.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one promptly.
