Cover Supervisor \\n\\nSouthampton | Full Time | ASAP Start\\n\\nAcademics are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton for a dynamic Cover Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time Cover Supervisor opportunity in Southampton runs Monday to Friday during school hours and has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.\\n\\nAs a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and provide short-term cover during teacher absence. You'll use your classroom management skills to keep students engaged, ensure learning continues smoothly, and support the wider faculty when required.\\n\\nYou will be expected to:\\n\\nDeliver set lesson content across a range of subjects as a Cover Supervisor\\nMaintain a focused, positive learning environment\\nProvide appropriate support to students to help them achieve lesson objectives\\nLiaise confidently with staff, students, parents and visitors using clear, accurate spoken English\\nUse IT/ICT systems as part of daily classroom practiceTo be considered for this Cover Supervisor position you must have:\\n\\nUK recognised degree\\nGCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C (or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF, or equivalent Level 3 NQF qualification)\\nExperience working with children, in a classroom, or within an educational setting in Southampton or elsewhere\\nStrong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour confidently\\nAbility to prioritise workload, deliver lessons efficiently and identify where students need additional supportAcademics can offer a competitive daily rate of pay starting between £100-£120 and potentially being uplifted depending on experience.
