An inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest, London is seeking a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025. This role includes providing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with mild autism, assisting them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.
Role:
- Support a Year 1 child with mild autism on a 1:1 basis
- Work directly with the class teacher and SENCO
- Use visual aids, structured routines, and gentle encouragement to support both learning and development
- Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
- Communicating effectively with the wider staff team and parents
About You:
- Previous experience assisting children with autism or other special educational needs (desirable)
