Are you a passionate Primary SEN Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school? Do you have experience teaching children with Autism and ASD, and delivering targeted interventions? Academics is currently working with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join its supportive team from May 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils both in small groups and whole‑class settings, delivering structured interventions and supporting children with Autism and ASD to make progress across the curriculum. This mainstream primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham supports pupils across KS1 and KS2, with a strong focus on inclusion and SEN. The school has a collaborative ethos and works closely with support staff and external professionals to ensure pupils with additional needs are fully supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Location: Mainstream Primary School - Hammersmith & Fulham

Contract: Full‑time

Start Date: May 2026

Salary: M3‑UPS1 (dependent on experience)

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for pupils with Autism and ASD across KS1 and KS2.
  • Work with small groups and individuals to support learning, communication, and social development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to provide consistent and effective support.
  • Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
  • Uphold high professional standards and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have completed an undergraduate degree.
  • Have experience supporting pupils with Autism and ASD, ideally within a mainstream primary setting.
  • Have experience delivering interventions and working with groups of children across KS1 and KS2.
  • Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
