Chief Finance Officer

Salary: £50,788 – £62,275 per annum
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Contract: Full-time

About the Role

As a CFO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of this excellent school. You will be responsible for strategic financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and ensuring resources are effectively managed to support outstanding education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the financial strategy to ensure sustainability and growth
  2. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  3. Ensure compliance with education funding regulations
  4. Work closely with the senior leadership team and governors
  5. Manage and develop the finance team

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Formal Accountancy qualification
  2. Experience in financial leadership (education sector preferred)
  3. Experience in PS Financials
  4. Experience of IMP
  5. Experience in Financial Processes
  6. Strong Leadership, analytical, strategic, and communication skills
  7. Knowledge of school funding and financial regulations is an advantage
  8. A valid Enhanced DBS
