Academics are currently recruiting a Full-Time Caretaker to work on behalf of a local school in Ashford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and reliable caretaker to join a supportive school environment.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the school site
- General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the premises
- Carrying out health & safety and compliance checks
- Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
- Setting up rooms for lessons, events, and meetings
- Monitoring site security and liaising with contractors
- Supporting staff with day-to-day site needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a school caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities assistant
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
