Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a lovely, inclusive secondary school in Canterbury who are seeking an RE Teacher to start in April 2026. We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates who are dedicated to educating and nurturing students in the field of Religious Education.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons for secondary school students
- Explore various religious traditions and beliefs while encouraging critical thinking and respect for diverse perspectives
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with national standards
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment within the school community
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Religious Education
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a focus on Religious Education or related field
- Passion for teaching and promoting understanding of diverse religious beliefs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with different learning styles
- Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level is desirable
